Available building lots

The Georgetown Executive Airport at Johnny Gantt Field is located just 3.5 miles from the Georgetown Courthouse Square and offers opportunities for those who desire aviation resources in Georgetown or the greater Austin metro area.

Four land sites (Sites 2, 4, 5, and 7) are available for lease under a long-term lease program. Site 6 is planned to be developed in the long term. The Airport and City Planning Department are available to offer assistance to those who desire to lease an available site and construct a hangar or aviation facility to suit their needs.

Airport T-Hangars

We have 130 total T-Hangars on the airfield, and they are all currently occupied. Again, we have no T-Hangars available for lease. You can try other businesses located on the Airport Business page for other hangar owners on the airfield who might have room.

The Georgetown Executive Airport at Johnny Gantt Field is currently not taking applications for the hangar/tiedown waiting list as the demand far exceeds availability. The Georgetown Executive Airport will monitor and update this page when the application process resumes.

The Airport currently has two areas that are set aside for T-Hangar development. Sites 4 and 5 are set aside for T-Hangars. Site 4 is ready to be built out, while Site 5 is less ready. There is City infrastructure that runs diagonally across the site that will need to be relocated. In addition, currently there is no direct access to the Taxiway system for either of the areas. For Site 4 it would be a simple task to gain access, whereas Site 5 would entail crossing a well-traveled airport street.

Airport property appraisal*

An Airport Property Appraisal Report is used to help to determine the market rental value for a variety of air-side property. This report contains information considered relevant to both the value of the property and the method by which we have analyzed collected data to arrive at the value conclusion. This report can be found here.

*Please note, all new leases will have to have an up-to-date appraisal completed prior to lease execution. They will also have to have an up-to-date survey with property description completed.
