Airport Information

The Georgetown Municipal Airport (KGTU) is located in the heart of Georgetown Texas, on the I-35 corridor linking the northern gateway Dallas/Ft. Worth with the capital of Austin and a gateway to San Antonio in the South.  As the seat of Williamson County, Georgetown is located only a short distance from Austin, making itself one of the top fastest growing areas in the United States.  Founded in 1845, Georgetown is home to Southwestern University which is the oldest university west of the Mississippi.  The incredible Georgetown Courthouse Square is known as one of the most visited and beautiful of all of Texas 254 counties.

Georgetown Municipal Airport began operations on November 11, 1945.  The airport serves general and corporate aviation, providing full service amenities, aviation fuel, avionics sales, service, and aircraft maintenance. The 5,004 foot runway provides a gateway to the “beautiful Texas Hill Country”.

As a towered airport, Georgetown Municipal Airport (KGTU) is an essential transportation resource in the Greater Austin Metroplex. Our fixed base operators offer comfortable first class facilities for travelers and pilots alike. Our self-service 100LL Avgas pumps are located in front of our terminal and are open 24/7 for your convenience.

(Note: For your benefit, we conduct a daily quality control visual filter test on our fuel for clarity, particulates and water. Our fuel prices are very competitive.)

We provide overnight tie-down spaces for our visitors, and a courtesy car for use in Georgetown is available at no charge.
